I know I’ve reblogged some of her songs before but finally she has Bandcamp! Please check out Noey’s music and preorder her songs. I think the official release date is tomorrow so watch out for them.
I love her voice, I love her songs. Her tumblr has some of the songs she has covered and even originals, iirc.
Sometimes, it’s not about waiting for life to offer you what it can.
Sometimes, it’s about taking what you have and doing what you can.
And then taking it further than you expected.
There are a lot of people who deserve thank yous for this and as much as I would like to list you all down, I might probably run out of space — or worse, I might forget someone and I can’t have that.
So to my lovelies, to my friends, to my family and all of you who have been waiting for something big to happen — this is one of the small things that make up that big thing. Thank you. I hope you enjoy the songs.
*Individual tracks will be downloadable at your price of choice (and yes, 0.00 USD counts as a price) midnight of 16 April 2012. The idea of getting paid for my music is great, but I -want- people to have the opportunity to enjoy my music.

I don’t consider myself a brilliant person, but I am a lucky soul because I meet brilliant people in my life.
One of them is my sister-in-law.
Kidding. Not soon. Not until my partner and I have a steady looking future.
Though we are of the same age there are a lot of things Tricia has taught me. I’m a self learned person who does not have any idea how this industry goes. It’s not by apprenticeship that I learned from her, but it’s more of by doing things with her and observing that I picked up a few things I would not have realized by myself.
I’m starting all over again and this time I think I finally am at the right direction. I plan to continue upwards, forward. And make more clothes that would make beautiful photographs and clothes that would be worn by worthy women.
For myself and for those who believed in me. I will reach for my dreams :)
Having seen and actually purchased one of the designs from Cat’s latest collection, I can say that I really love the clothes that she makes. They are not the usual clothes I see in malls and lately, I see her incorporating multiple designs in one garment - meaning you could transform it so you could wear it in more than 1 way. I like such clothes because I don’t get a chance to go to the mall and try on a lot of clothes. Versatile pieces are always welcome in my wardrobe! ;)
Anyway, these photos show us how her pieces can be worn together and I really think they are lovely combined and they still look good even when you wear them with other kinds of pants or skirts or tops. I hope you could take the time and look at her shop catherinejannelle.com so you could see the clothes individually as well.
I am so proud of her work as a friend and as a fan :) I will probably never tire of sharing such wonderful work with you because I have faith in her as a designer and as a person.
Since when did teen pregnancy become cool?
Uh, teen pregnancy is a reality but we don’t have to market it as cool. Pregnancy is beautiful when people are prepared to have babies. Or for some people who have been surprised and ended up having a baby because of circumstances, it’s a beautiful thing when they learn from the experience and enjoy the experience. But it’s not something that you say is cool just because you want to be a popular kid in school. I think that pregnancy is serious business because unlike toys, babies are real and they have real needs that have to be met. Even as a fetus, it has needs. Nourishment is one. And of course, the pre-natal check-ups. And acceptance from the parents as well as the people surrounding its parents.
I don’t know the goal of the toy maker. Maybe they want children to accept teen pregnancy as a fact of life? But to say it’s so cool — I think they have to review their taglines and stuff.
If you’re still looking for Christmas gifts, don’t forget to check out A Little Decadence’s shop :) She’s a really great designer. Having bought stuff from her every once in a while (hats, earrings, cuffs), I vouch for how great they are. Check it out!
Shop at Gifts and Graces and help marginalized groups
One of my friends at work shared the link to Gifts and Graces, a shop where they sell hand-made goods from marginalized groups. They work with non-government offices to help them make a living from creating quality goods that the Gifts and Graces is marketing for them.
Their tea box is reasonably priced at 130 pesos. And they also sell other goods like turmeric tea and Cordillera coffee. JM and I haven’t finished gift buying yet so I might consider these. :) Maybe you know people who would appreciate these gifts this Christmas (or for their birthdays) too.
